Shirdi Sai Electricals exports first ultra-high voltage transformer to US

Shirdi Sai Electricals (SSEL), a leading transformer manufacturer based in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, has successfully dispatched its first 345 kilovolt power transformer to the United States, signaling its entry into the global extra-high voltage segment. The 175 megavolt-ampere unit was manufactured at the company's production facility in Naini, Prayagraj, showcasing the growing manufacturing capabilities in India's power equipment sector.

The export represents a significant achievement for SSEL as it transitions from primarily serving domestic markets to competing internationally. The company's ambition to establish itself as an exporter is reflected in its target of generating ₹600 crore annually through overseas shipments, underscoring confidence in both product quality and global demand for Indian-manufactured power infrastructure equipment.

Beyond the US market, SSEL is actively pursuing regulatory approvals and certifications required for operations in Europe, indicating a multi-region expansion strategy.
