Shree Cement to invest ₹6,700 crore in Andhra Pradesh expansion

Shree Cement Ltd. is set to undertake a major expansion programme in Andhra Pradesh, committing ₹6,700 crore in capital investment across multiple locations within the state, according to the state's Industries and Commerce Minister.

The investment initiative will span three districts—Kadapa, Palnadu, and Anakapalli—as the company strengthens its operational footprint in the region. The expansion project is expected to generate significant employment and livelihood opportunities for around 3,000 individuals across construction, operations, and ancillary sectors.

The investment comes at a time when Andhra Pradesh has been actively attracting large-scale industrial projects to diversify its economic base. Shree Cement's planned capacity additions align with the state's infrastructure development objectives and mineral resource availability, particularly in cement production.

The company, one of India's leading cement manufacturers, has been expanding its geographic reach to tap growing demand in southern and eastern markets. This Andhra Pradesh project marks a significant scaling-up of the company's operations in the region and is expected to commence phased implementation in the coming fiscal year.
