SIA, Air India expand Singapore-India routes from mid-October
Singapore Airlines and Air India will launch additional flight services connecting Singapore with eight Indian cities starting October 15, capitalising on the carriers' strategic partnership. The expansion comes following SIA's acquisition of a significant stake in Air India last year.

Singapore Airlines and Air India are set to enhance connectivity between Singapore and India with the introduction of new flight options to eight Indian destinations, effective October 15. The expanded network will provide travellers with greater flexibility and frequency on routes linking the city-state to key cities across the Indian subcontinent.
The route expansion reflects the deepening commercial relationship between the two carriers. In November 2024, Singapore Airlines acquired a 25.1 per cent stake in Air India, marking a significant investment in the Indian airline and signalling long-term commitment to strengthening ties in the region.
The additional services are expected to boost bilateral aviation connectivity and cater to growing demand for travel between Singapore and India, driven by business, leisure, and diaspora traffic. The move positions both carriers to better serve their combined network and compete more effectively in the South Asian aviation market.
Details regarding specific destinations, flight frequencies, and scheduling arrangements for the new services have been outlined as part of the carriers' joint operational planning. The expansion underscores the strategic value both airlines place on the Singapore-India corridor within their respective network strategies.
