BUTUAN CITY — The Caraga Regional Police Office completed a drug enforcement operation on Thursday that resulted in the arrest of two siblings classified as high-value drug targets, authorities said.
Law enforcement officers seized approximately P125,000 worth of crystal methamphetamine, commonly referred to locally as "shabu," during the controlled buy-bust in this Agusan del Sur city.
Brigadier General Rolindo M. Suguilon, director of Police Regional Office 13 (Caraga), confirmed the identities of the arrested suspects and detailed the operation results. The siblings have been turned over to local law enforcement for processing and the filing of appropriate charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The operation forms part of ongoing police efforts to dismantle illegal drug distribution networks across the Caraga region. Regional police have intensified anti-narcotics operations targeting high-level traffickers and organized drug syndicates throughout southern Mindanao.
