Sigma Advanced Systems has begun production operations at its newly established aerospace components facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The initial 75,000 square feet manufacturing unit has been configured with precision machining capabilities, positioning the facility to serve India's growing aerospace and defence sector.
The plant currently operates with a production capacity of 100,000 annual machining hours, providing precision-engineered components for aerospace applications. The facility represents the company's commitment to establishing manufacturing capabilities within India, leveraging the state's industrial infrastructure and strategic location in South India.
The current facility forms part of a larger strategic development plan, with provision for expansion to a 500,000 square feet integrated campus. This phased approach allows the company to scale operations in alignment with increasing demand from aerospace original equipment manufacturers and tier-one suppliers across the region.
Sri City, an established industrial park in Nellore district, has emerged as a hub for manufacturing and engineering enterprises. The addition of Sigma Advanced Systems' aerospace production capabilities further strengthens the region's positioning as a destination for high-precision manufacturing and aerospace supply chain activities in South India.
