Singapore air quality forecast to deteriorate as PSI expected to reach unhealthy levels
The National Environment Agency has warned that Singapore's 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index readings are expected to worsen on Friday, with levels forecast to enter the unhealthy range across the island.

Air quality across Singapore is anticipated to decline significantly on Friday, according to the latest advisory from the National Environment Agency (NEA). While current 24-hour PSI readings remain within good to moderate ranges, the agency projects a notable deterioration in atmospheric conditions as the day progresses.
The unhealthy air quality forecast comes as meteorological conditions are expected to become less favorable for the dispersion of pollutants. Residents and individuals with respiratory sensitivities are advised to monitor air quality updates closely and take necessary precautions.
The NEA regularly updates PSI readings across multiple monitoring stations throughout Singapore to provide residents with real-time air quality information. The PSI scale ranges from 0 to over 500, with readings below 50 considered good, 51-100 moderate, 101-200 unhealthy for sensitive groups, and above 201 unhealthy for the general population.
Members of the public are encouraged to check the NEA's website and mobile application for the latest PSI data and health recommendations based on prevailing air quality conditions.
