Singapore Airlines has rolled out a new cabin crew shoe designed specifically for female flight attendants, marking the culmination of a 31-month development process. The updated Pazzion shoe incorporates design elements inspired by traditional batik patterns while prioritising practical considerations for cabin crew working long-haul routes.
The airline undertook an extensive consultation process to refine the shoe's design, conducting multiple rounds of fittings with cabin crew members and subjecting prototypes to rigorous wear-testing. Feedback from female crew members proved instrumental in shaping the final product, with particular emphasis placed on improving comfort, fit and durability—key considerations for staff spending extended periods on their feet during flights.
Onboard trials were conducted to ensure the shoes performed adequately in real-world operational conditions before the final design was approved for rollout across the airline's cabin crew fleet. The development process reflects Singapore Airlines' commitment to supporting crew welfare and workplace comfort standards.
The new shoe replaces the previous Pazzion model and is now standard issue for female cabin crew members. The batik design elements add a distinctive aesthetic touch while maintaining the professional appearance required of Singapore Airlines' uniformed staff.
