Singapore expands SkillsFuture courses for workers aged 40 and above

Singapore is broadening its SkillsFuture initiative to support mid-career and older workers, with 140 new courses becoming available to those aged 40 and above starting December 1. The expanded course portfolio reflects the government's commitment to enabling lifelong learning and career progression among mature workers facing a rapidly evolving job market. The new offerings encompass diverse sectors critical to Singapore's economic future, including financial services, infocomm technology, maritime and offshore industries. These additions complement existing SkillsFuture credit allocations, providing eligible workers with greater flexibility to upskill or reskill according to their career aspirations and industry demands. The move addresses Singapore's demographic challenges and labour market shifts, ensuring that experienced workers can remain competitive and contribute productively to the economy throughout their working lives.
