The team applied brief pulses of weak magnetic fields to eliminate breast tumors in laboratory mice, achieving tumor destruction in three-quarters of test subjects.
The magnetic pulse technique represents a departure from conventional cancer treatment methods that rely on chemical intervention. By targeting tumors directly with magnetic energy, researchers were able to achieve significant results without exposing subjects to the systemic effects associated with chemotherapy drugs.
