Singapore's air quality is showing signs of improvement, with the Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) forecast to remain between unhealthy and high unhealthy levels in the coming period. This represents a positive shift from the previous forecast range of unhealthy to low very unhealthy conditions.
The gradual improvement in air quality readings reflects changing atmospheric conditions across the region. The National Environment Agency continues to monitor PSI levels closely to track developments and provide updated forecasts to the public.
Residents are advised to remain cautious despite the improvement. Individuals in vulnerable groups, including children, the elderly, and those with respiratory or heart conditions, should consider limiting prolonged outdoor activities and wearing N95 masks when venturing outside.
The PSI scale ranges from 0 to 500, with readings above 200 classified as unhealthy and those above 300 considered very unhealthy. Members of the public are encouraged to check official air quality updates regularly and take appropriate precautions based on current conditions.
