Singapore's air quality has improved markedly, with hourly PM2.5 readings returning to normal levels across most of the island as of 8am. The improvement signals a reversal from earlier conditions that had affected air quality in recent days.
The western region was the only area still recording unhealthy air quality based on the 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) measurement at the time of assessment. All other regions had returned to normal hourly PM2.5 concentrations, indicating a broader improvement in atmospheric conditions across Singapore.
The National Environment Agency continues to monitor air quality readings throughout the island. Residents are advised to check real-time air quality data and PSI levels for their specific regions, particularly those in western Singapore where readings remained elevated.
