Singapore tightens vehicle entry rules with mandatory VEP verification

The enhanced border control measure introduces an automated verification system that will check the VEP status of vehicles at the point of arrival card submission. This integration aims to prevent vehicles without proper documentation from entering the country and reduce processing delays at border checkpoints.

Motorists and passengers are advised to ensure their vehicles have obtained valid VEP documentation before attempting entry into Singapore. The SGAC submission system will flag any discrepancies between vehicle registration and permit validity, potentially delaying entry for non-compliant vehicles.
