Singapore to end haze support measures and PSI forecasts from November

Singapore's temporary haze relief measures will be wound down starting next month as air quality conditions normalise, the National Environment Agency announced. Mask distribution and haze shelters will close on November 7, marking an end to emergency support provisions that have been in place during periods of poor air quality. The NEA's daily 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index forecast will also cease on the same date. The haze subsidy scheme, which has provided financial relief to affected residents, will be terminated from November 12. These measures were activated during transboundary haze episodes that periodically affect the region, particularly during the dry season. The timing of the wind-down suggests improved atmospheric conditions and reduced haze risk in the coming weeks. Residents who have benefited from the assistance programmes are advised to plan accordingly ahead of the cessation dates.
