Singaporean racing driver Ho pauses F3 career for national service

Ho, 20, secured his place in motorsport history when he signed with a French racing outfit for the 2025 season, becoming the first Singaporean to compete in the FIA Formula 3 Championship. However, the promising driver has now opted to pause his burgeoning career to enlist with the Singapore Armed Forces.
The announcement comes months after Ho clinched the 2024 Eurocup Formula 3 title, cementing his credentials as one of Asia's most talented junior drivers. His move to international single-seater racing represented a significant milestone for motorsport in Singapore, where driver development pathways remain limited.
Ho's decision to prioritise national service reflects the obligations faced by Singaporean male citizens, who are required to complete roughly two years of full-time military training.
