SIT reveals 105 instances of donation theft at Ayodhya Ram Mandir

The SIT, tasked with investigating irregularities in the handling of donations at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, has submitted a detailed report to the Supreme Court outlining its findings from video surveillance analysis. The investigation examined CCTV footage from the donations counting chamber, where devotees' offerings are typically processed and documented.

According to the SIT's submission, the footage revealed 105 separate instances in which money was removed from or hidden within the counting room without proper authorization. The incidents suggest a pattern of potential misappropriation of funds that may have gone undetected during routine audits or administrative oversight.

The discovery marks a significant development in the ongoing inquiry into financial management practices at one of India's most prominent religious institutions. The temple, which was consecrated in January 2024, receives substantial donations from pilgrims visiting the shrine dedicated to Lord Ram.
