Law enforcement in Vaishali, Bihar, has cracked a robbery ring with the arrest of six individuals, marking a significant breakthrough in a crime spree that plagued multiple localities in the district. The primary accused, identified as Jitendra Kumar, who operates under the nickname 'Geedar', was apprehended along with five accomplices during the operation.
The arrested gang allegedly carried out multiple heists targeting businessmen and traders across the region. In Mahua, the group is accused of robbing a businessman of approximately 1.5 lakh rupees along with his motorcycle. The coordinated nature of the crimes suggests a well-organized operation targeting vulnerable victims for high-value thefts.
Police investigations have linked the suspects to additional robbery incidents in neighbouring areas. In Patepur, authorities uncovered a theft totalling 80,000 rupees, while a separate incident in Rajapkar resulted in the loss of 52,000 rupees. The cumulative value of the robberies exceeds three lakh rupees.
The arrest represents a significant development in efforts to curtail organized property crimes in the Vaishali district. Law enforcement officials are continuing their investigation to determine whether the gang may be connected to other unresolved robbery cases in the region.
