The Police Regional Office-Caraga (PRO-13) conducted coordinated drug enforcement operations across the region, resulting in the arrest of six suspects, according to an official statement released Sunday.
Operating units confiscated 20.2494 grams of suspected shabu, or crystal methamphetamine, during the weekend stings. The seized drug quantity carries a standard street value of P137,695.92, police said.
The anti-drug operations, which took place in multiple locations including Butuan City and surrounding municipalities, are part of the police regional office's continuing campaign against illegal drug trafficking in the Caraga region. The operations targeted suspected drug personalities and high-value drug targets, according to PRO-13.
Authorities did not immediately provide details regarding the identities of the arrested suspects or the specific locations where the operations took place beyond Butuan City. The seized drugs and arrested individuals have been turned over to appropriate investigating units for further processing and prosecution under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
