Six plead guilty to operating illegal vape storage operation in Singapore

Six offenders have pleaded guilty to being part of a coordinated operation that illegally stored thousands of vaping products across makeshift warehouse facilities in Lentor and Sembawang. The group collectively stored approximately 58,000 vape items in the unauthorised premises.

The operation came to light following investigations by authorities into the illicit storage and distribution of e-cigarette products. Singapore has maintained strict regulations on vaping products, with their importation, sale and distribution prohibited under local law.

All six individuals admitted to their involvement in the scheme during court proceedings. The offences carry potential penalties under Singapore's tobacco and vaping-related legislation, which carries substantial fines and possible imprisonment.

The case underscores ongoing enforcement efforts against the underground vaping trade in Singapore. Authorities continue to target illegal warehousing operations and distribution networks that circumvent regulations designed to protect public health.

Sentencing for all six offenders is scheduled for October, when the court will determine appropriate penalties based on the extent of their individual involvement and other aggravating or mitigating factors.
