Six presumed dead after helicopter crashes in Indian Himalayas

A helicopter went down in the Himalayan state, prompting an immediate response from local emergency services. The aircraft is believed to have carried six people at the time of the incident.

District administration officials mobilised a coordinated rescue operation to locate the crash site and assess the situation. The challenging terrain and weather conditions typical of the Himalayan region presented obstacles to the search and recovery efforts.

Details surrounding the cause of the crash remain unclear at this stage. Authorities have not yet confirmed the identities of those aboard or provided updates on the status of rescue operations.

The incident adds to concerns about aviation safety in remote mountainous regions where difficult weather and geographical conditions complicate flight operations and emergency response efforts.
