Medansh Raikwar, 6, of Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh, has won a Fortune SUV worth several lakhs after his name was drawn in a lucky draw conducted during a Garba event in the city.
The winning ticket, purchased for ₹200, had been registered in the boy's name by his grandmother approximately one year ago. The prize draw, held as part of the traditional Garba festivities, saw the young winner selected from among numerous entries.
The Fortune SUV prize represents one of the larger rewards typically offered through such community event raffles. While child-won lottery prizes are not uncommon in India, the winner's age has made the case notable among local residents.
It remains unclear whether the vehicle will be registered in the child's name or transferred to his parents or guardians, as is customary in such cases involving minors. The organizers of the Garba event confirmed the legitimacy of the draw and the prize distribution.
