Sixteen Unlicensed Doctors Arrested in Major Medical Fraud Crackdown

Special Operations Group officials and district health department personnel conducted coordinated raids in the Pandesara area, apprehending 16 individuals suspected of practicing medicine without valid credentials. Investigators alleged that the accused administered medications, injections, and intravenous glucose drips to patients despite lacking medical degrees or licenses.

Among those arrested was a man who had been operating a clinic for three decades with only a tenth-grade education qualification. The suspect allegedly treated hundreds of patients over the 33-year period without any formal medical training or government authorization.

Three of the arrested individuals had prior criminal records related to unauthorized medical practice, according to preliminary investigation reports. Authorities seized medical equipment and pharmaceutical supplies from the clinics during the operation.

District health officials stated that the crackdown forms part of an ongoing campaign to eliminate unqualified practitioners who pose significant public health risks. Patients treated by unlicensed practitioners face potential health complications due to incorrect diagnosis and inappropriate treatment. Authorities have urged the public to verify medical credentials before seeking treatment at clinics.
