The Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) and Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) have officially opened SLIIT International in Collaboration with LJMU, a new dedicated learning facility located at No. 17, Dickmans Road, Colombo 04.

The facility represents a significant milestone in the long-standing partnership between the two institutions, which have collaborated for more than a decade to deliver international academic programmes to Sri Lankan students. The inauguration underscores both organisations' commitment to expanding access to quality higher education and fostering global learning opportunities within the local context.

The joint venture provides students with enhanced infrastructure and resources for pursuing internationally-recognised qualifications without leaving Sri Lanka. LJMU programmes delivered through SLIIT have previously enabled local learners to obtain UK degrees while benefiting from Sri Lankan-based instruction and support services.

The opening of the dedicated facility is expected to strengthen the institutions' ability to serve growing student demand for internationally-accredited education and further develop their collaborative framework. Both SLIIT and LJMU have indicated their intention to expand the scope and reach of their partnership in coming years.
