Software engineer dies after being hit by speeding car in Pune
A software engineer was fatally struck by a high-speed vehicle while out for an early morning run in Pune on Tuesday. The victim succumbed to his injuries during treatment at hospital.

Veerendran Dwivedi, a software engineer, was pronounced dead after being admitted to hospital with critical injuries sustained in a road accident in Pune. The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday along the Pashan-Bawdhan Road near Necklace Garden when a speeding car struck Dwivedi as he was jogging.
Responders at the scene immediately transported Dwivedi to a nearby medical facility for emergency treatment. Despite medical intervention, the engineer's condition deteriorated and he was declared dead while undergoing treatment.
The Pune Police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident and are examining the role of the vehicle's driver. Authorities are working to determine the exact sequence of events and whether any traffic violations or negligence contributed to the fatal collision. The investigation remains ongoing.
