South Korean group to invest $100 million in Da Nang carpet facility
A South Korean investment group is pouring $100 million into a new manufacturing complex in Vietnam's central Da Nang city. The facility will produce bulked continuous filament yarn and automotive carpets for regional and international markets.

The South Korean investor will develop an 11-hectare industrial project focused on carpet and yarn production, according to project details. The facility is designed to manufacture bulk continuous filament (BCF) yarn, commercial carpets, and automotive floor carpets for distribution across Asia and beyond.
The manufacturing complex is projected to achieve an annual production capacity of 16,800 tonnes of BCF yarn and approximately 7.8 million square meters of finished carpets once operational. The scale of the facility underscores growing interest among South Korean manufacturers in establishing production bases in central Vietnam, where Da Nang has positioned itself as a regional industrial hub.
The investment represents the latest in a series of South Korean capital inflows into Da Nang. Recent years have seen increased cooperation between the city and South Korea in areas including technology transfer, digital infrastructure development, and bilateral maritime engagement, reflecting deepening economic and diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.
