SpiceJet flights delayed in Delhi; five routes affected including Leh and Jammu

SpiceJet operations from Delhi's Terminal 1 experienced substantial disruptions in the early hours of Wednesday, with five flights departing significantly behind schedule. Three flights destined for Leh and one bound for Jammu were among the most affected services, with approximately 450 passengers from these routes experiencing extended waits.

The most severe delay involved flight SG127 to Leh, which was scheduled to depart at 4:50 a.m. but did not take off until approximately 9 a.m.—a delay of over four hours. According to operational sources, check-in staff failed to report for duty at the scheduled time of 2:30 a.m., creating a cascading effect that delayed passenger processing and aircraft turnaround.

A duty manager subsequently intervened to address passenger concerns and manage the situation at the terminal. In total, more than 500 travelers were affected by the morning's disruptions across all impacted services. SpiceJet has not yet issued a formal statement regarding the causes of the delays or any compensation measures for affected passengers.
