Splinter Kashmir Jamaat faction hits back at 'traitor' allegations

Dissident leaders of the Jamaat-e-Islami's Kashmir chapter addressed the media in Srinagar on Monday, dismissing accusations levelled against their breakaway faction as part of a coordinated smear campaign. Ghulam Qadir Wani and Ahmadullah Parray Malik, among the faction's prominent figures, characterized the allegations as attempts to poison perceptions among the organization's grassroots supporters.

The leaders contended that the use of pejorative terms such as "traitors" and "sellouts" represented a deliberate strategy to undermine their standing within the organization's rank-and-file.
