SportSG closes outdoor facilities at ActiveSG centres amid heat concerns

Sport Singapore has announced the closure of outdoor and non-air-conditioned facilities at all ActiveSG Sport Centres island-wide. The decision affects a range of sports amenities currently available to the public across the network of community sports venues.

The closures will impact outdoor courts, fields, and training areas, as well as indoor spaces without climate control systems. Users of these facilities will need to seek alternative venues or adjust their sporting schedules accordingly.

ActiveS Sport Centres form a cornerstone of Singapore's grassroots sports infrastructure, providing accessible facilities for residents to engage in recreational and competitive activities. The closures represent a significant operational adjustment across the portfolio.

SportSG has not disclosed a specific timeline for the reopening of affected facilities. Members and regular users of the centres are advised to check official channels for updated information regarding facility status and alternative arrangements.
