Sri Lanka pledges to curb anti-India activities, signs defence agreements

Sri Lanka has reiterated its commitment to preventing anti-India activities within its territory while simultaneously strengthening bilateral defence relations through the signing of three defence memoranda of understanding.

The pledges and agreements reflect Sri Lanka's strategic positioning in the Indian Ocean region and signal a consolidation of defence partnerships with New Delhi. The three defence MoUs are expected to cover areas of military cooperation, training, and operational coordination between the armed forces of both nations.
