Sri Lanka Police Headquarters has activated three dedicated telephone numbers to handle inquiries and resolve issues related to police clearance certificate applications. The new hotlines connect applicants directly to the Special Operations Room at Police Headquarters, which operates continuously throughout the day and night to address concerns.
The move comes as the Police Service continues to facilitate the online submission of clearance certificate applications, a process that has expanded access for citizens and residents requiring the documents for employment, travel, and other purposes.
Applicants encountering difficulties during the application process, including technical issues or documentation concerns, can now reach the dedicated support team through the three contact numbers. Officials stated that the 24-hour availability ensures that individuals across different time zones and work schedules can access assistance when needed.
The Police Headquarters has encouraged all applicants to utilize the new hotlines to expedite resolution of their concerns rather than visiting police stations in person. The initiative reflects efforts by law enforcement to modernize administrative services and improve public access to essential documentation.
