The online platform for issuing Police Clearance Certificates has been taken offline temporarily as authorities undertake scheduled system maintenance, the Sri Lanka Police announced.
Citizens requiring Police Clearance Certificates are instructed to visit their respective local police stations to process applications and obtain the documents in person during the maintenance period. The move does not affect the availability of the certificates themselves, only the digital application channel.
Police Clearance Certificates are commonly required by Sri Lankan citizens for employment purposes, overseas travel, visa applications, and various administrative procedures. The suspension of the online service may cause minor delays for applicants who relied on the digital platform for convenience.
The Sri Lanka Police did not specify a timeline for when the online service would be fully restored. Further updates regarding the resumption of the digital platform are expected to be announced following the completion of maintenance work.
