Sri Lanka's Foreign Minister heads to Thailand for official talks

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath is scheduled to arrive in Thailand tomorrow for an official visit that will extend through 16 December. The visit has been arranged at the invitation of Thailand's Minister of Labour.

During his time in Thailand, Minister Herath is expected to hold bilateral discussions with the Thai Minister of Labour and the Minister of Tourism, among other senior officials. The talks are anticipated to focus on areas of mutual interest including labour cooperation, tourism development, and employment-related matters affecting nationals of both countries.

The visit reflects ongoing diplomatic engagement between Sri Lanka and Thailand on key economic and social policy issues. Officials from both nations have indicated that the discussions will provide an opportunity to explore avenues for strengthened cooperation in the identified sectors.

Minister Herath's delegation will conclude the visit on 16 December, returning to Sri Lanka following the series of scheduled meetings with Thai government counterparts.
