Sri Lankan sprinter Rumesh Tharanga nominated for World Athlete of the Year

Rumesh Tharanga has been named among 20 nominees for the World Athlete of the Year 2026 award, which recognises the year's outstanding athletic performances. The honour will be presented at the World Athletics Awards ceremony in Monaco on 29 November.
