Srisailam temple to build three-story complex for 12,000 devotees

The Srisailam Temple Trust Board has approved construction of a new queue complex designed to streamline the pilgrimage experience at one of South India's most visited religious sites. According to the Temple Trust Board Chairman, the proposed three-story facility will have the capacity to accommodate 12,000 devotees at any given time.

The complex represents a significant infrastructure upgrade at the Srisailam temple, which attracts lakhs of pilgrims annually. The project aims to address congestion issues during festival seasons and peak pilgrimage periods by providing dedicated spaces for orderly queue management.

Temple authorities believe the new facility will enhance the overall experience for visitors while ensuring safer crowd management within the temple premises. The construction is expected to commence in the near future following formal approvals and administrative clearances.

The Srisailam temple, located in Nandyal district of Andhra Pradesh, is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas and draws devotees from across India and abroad.
