State pushes toward complete digital HR records system for operational transparency

State authorities are accelerating their transition to a completely digitalised e-Human Resources Management System (e-HRMS), marking a significant step toward modernising government operations. According to officials overseeing the initiative, approximately 93 percent of employee records have already been successfully digitised and integrated into the electronic system.

The comprehensive digitalisation programme aims to eliminate paper-based record-keeping and create a unified, accessible platform for managing personnel information across government departments. This shift is expected to reduce administrative bottlenecks, minimise the scope for procedural delays, and create greater accountability within the system.

By consolidating employee data in a centralised digital repository, the state government intends to enhance operational transparency and facilitate easier access to personnel records for authorised officials and departments. The digitised system will also enable better tracking of employee information, leave records, performance metrics, and other critical administrative data.

The remaining seven percent of employee records are expected to be uploaded to the system in the coming months, completing the full transition. Officials have indicated that the completion of this digitalisation drive will position the state among those leveraging technology for improved governance and administrative efficiency.
