Sterlite Technologies has announced a strategic growth plan that positions the company to hit the upper limits of its expansion targets for the financial year 2027-29 cycle. The fibre optics and telecommunications infrastructure firm is charting a course to achieve revenues of ₹20,000 crore by FY29, representing approximately four times its FY26 baseline of ₹4,750 crore.
The growth trajectory marks a sharp recovery from the company's lows during calendar year 2026, reflecting a substantial operational turnaround. The expansion plan demonstrates the company's confidence in rising demand for optical fibre infrastructure and digital connectivity solutions across South Asia's rapidly expanding telecom sector.
Beyond revenue growth, Sterlite Technologies is targeting significant margin expansion as part of its operational efficiency drive. The company aims to elevate EBITDA margins from 13 per cent in FY26 to over 27 per cent by FY29, indicating improved operational leverage and cost management as production scales up.
The roadmap underscores the company's strategic positioning to capitalize on increasing investments in broadband infrastructure and 5G rollout across the region. With India and neighbouring markets ramping up digital infrastructure spending, companies in the optical fibre manufacturing space are well-positioned to benefit from sustained demand growth over the medium term.
