A storm system formed from a deep depression made landfall along the Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coastline, bringing intense rainfall and strong winds to the region. Peddavaltair recorded the highest precipitation at 278mm during the weather event, while wind speeds reached 55-65 kilometers per hour in affected areas.
The storm brought disruptions to coastal districts as the deep depression moved ashore, triggering weather warnings across multiple zones. Meteorological authorities monitored the system's progression as it continued to impact communities in its path.
The weather system has begun to weaken following landfall and is now tracking toward the northwest. As the depression loses intensity, rainfall is expected to taper off in the coastal regions, though authorities advised residents to remain vigilant for localized flooding and waterlogged areas as drainage systems manage the heavy precipitation.
