STR recipients over 40 automatically eligible for PeKa Sihat scheme

KULAI, Nov 1 — Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) beneficiaries aged 40 years and older have been automatically enrolled in the PeKa Sihat programme and do not require separate registration, a government minister announced today. The automatic qualification is intended to simplify access to the health initiative and encourage greater participation among eligible recipients in this age group. Minister Teo Nie Ching urged STR recipients meeting the age criteria to fully utilise the benefits available under the PeKa Sihat scheme. The move aims to remove barriers to participation and ensure that assistance reaches those who need it most. Officials did not disclose additional details regarding the scope and specific benefits of the programme, though the automatic enrolment process is expected to streamline access for qualifying beneficiaries.
