Straits Times to host secondary school selection forum for parents
Parents seeking guidance on choosing the right secondary school for their children will have the opportunity to attend an informational forum organised by The Straits Times on October 31.
LSN Singapore ·
The forum comes as families navigate the critical period following the Primary School Leaving Examination, when students transition to secondary education. With multiple school options available across Singapore's education system, the session aims to equip parents with insights to make informed decisions about their children's secondary schooling.
The event will address key considerations parents face when selecting schools, including academic programmes, school culture, facilities, and alignment with their child's strengths and interests. By bringing together education experts and school representatives, the forum provides an opportunity for parents to gather information directly and clarify their questions about the secondary school selection process.
This initiative reflects growing recognition of the importance of appropriate school placement during the transition to secondary education, a pivotal moment in students' academic journeys. Parents interested in attending should check The Straits Times for registration details and the complete programme schedule for the October 31 event.
