Sugarcane farmer shot dead during breakfast in Bukidnon

A 31-year-old farmer was fatally shot while eating breakfast with friends at his home in Don Carlos, Bukidnon on Wednesday morning. Police are investigating the incident as authorities seek to identify the gunman.

The victim was killed inside his residential hut in Purok 6, Barangay Don Carlos at approximately 7:40 a.m., according to police reports. He was dining with four companions when the shooting occurred, turning what began as a routine morning meal into a fatal attack.

The sugarcane farmer sustained gunshot wounds during the incident. First responders rushed to the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead on arrival at a local medical facility.
