Sun PhuQuoc Airways launches Hanoi-Hong Kong service

Sun PhuQuoc Airways has commenced operations on a new Hanoi-Hong Kong route, reinforcing its position as a regional carrier with growing long-haul capabilities. The service represents the carrier's second direct connection between Vietnam and Hong Kong, diversifying its network across the country's major hubs.

The airline established its initial Hong Kong connection on May 22 this year with a dedicated Phu Quoc service, tapping into demand from leisure and business travelers in the southern coastal region. The Hanoi route now extends that connectivity to Vietnam's northern population center and capital.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways operates a modern fleet of eight wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft, providing the capacity and range required for expanding long-haul international services. The carrier was recently recognized as Asia's Best Leisure Airline 2026 at the Skytrax World Airline Awards, reflecting its competitive positioning in the regional market.

The expansion of Hong Kong services aligns with broader industry trends toward increased connectivity between Vietnam and key Asian financial centers, supporting both tourism and commercial travel demand in the region.
