Sun PhuQuoc Airways to launch India service with five weekly flights

Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA) is set to expand its international network with the launch of a new nonstop route connecting Phu Quoc with Ahmedabad, India's seventh-largest city and a major commercial hub in Gujarat state.

Operations on the route will commence on December 2, 2026, with the airline deploying five weekly flights on the service. The journey between the two cities will take approximately five hours and 25 minutes, positioning the connection as a viable option for business and leisure travelers seeking direct connectivity between Vietnam and western India.

The new route represents SPA's entry into the Indian market and reflects growing travel demand between Vietnam and India. Ahmedabad, home to numerous industries and a thriving business community, offers potential for both passenger and cargo opportunities.

The announcement comes as Phu Quoc, Vietnam's largest island and a key tourism destination, continues to develop its aviation infrastructure. The new international connection is expected to enhance the island's appeal as a gateway for regional connectivity.
