KUALA LUMPUR — Construction crews have completed a 400-metre lane-widening project on the Sungai Besi Highway, with the upgraded southbound section near the Seri Kembangan Interchange scheduled to resume full traffic operations on Monday. The infrastructure enhancement project was undertaken to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion along the busy expressway corridor that serves the Klang Valley region. Road authorities confirmed that the completed work meets all safety and engineering standards before reopening to the public. Motorists using the southbound route are advised to remain alert during the initial reopening period as they familiarise themselves with the expanded lane configuration. The project represents part of ongoing efforts by authorities to upgrade critical transportation infrastructure serving Malaysia's largest metropolitan area.
