KUALA LUMPUR — Sunway Lagoon has confirmed that all guests injured in a roller coaster incident on August 22 have been discharged, marking a significant development in the aftermath of the accident. The theme park operator stated that injured visitors have completed their medical treatment and been released from care.
The roller coaster at the popular Petaling Jaya attraction continues to remain offline pending completion of a formal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Park management has not disclosed details regarding the number of injuries sustained or their severity.
Sunway Lagoon said it is cooperating fully with investigating authorities as they examine what occurred during the August 22 incident. The closure is expected to remain in effect until investigators complete their assessment and issue findings.
