Suspect arrested in ambush that killed two police officers in Sultan Kudarat

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an ambush in Sultan Kudarat province that claimed the lives of two Regional Mobile Force Battalion personnel last month. The arrest marks a significant development in the investigation into the deadly incident.

Authorities in Cotabato City have apprehended Norhamin Dalgan, also known as "Ogie," in relation to the ambush attack in Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat. The suspect is believed to have played a role in the assault that resulted in the deaths of two members of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12 (RMFB 12).

Capt. Steffi Salangui, spokesperson for the Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, confirmed the arrest and identified the 19-year-old suspect as a resident of Barangay in the province. The apprehension follows intensive investigative efforts by law enforcement agencies in the Bangsamoro region.

The ambush, which occurred last month, had prompted heightened security operations across Sultan Kudarat. The arrest of Dalgan represents progress in the ongoing investigation as authorities work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the deadly incident and determine the involvement of other individuals.
