MANILA — The Alliance of Health Workers (AHW) has asked the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to investigate allegations that Dr. Lorraine Badoy is persisting in red-tagging activities despite her suspension from medical practice.
Badoy was suspended for six months in May following complaints that she engaged in red-tagging against the AHW and its members. Red-tagging typically involves publicly labeling individuals or organizations as communist or terrorist-affiliated, often resulting in threats and harassment.
In a manifestation with urgent motion filed with the PRC, the AHW contends that Badoy has violated the terms of her suspension by continuing the alleged misconduct. The health workers' group characterized the behavior as a repeated violation of professional ethics standards required of licensed medical practitioners.
