Suzlon lands 250 MW wind order from Torrent Green Energy

Suzlon Energy said Tuesday it has clinched a new 250 MW wind energy order from Torrent Green Energy, strengthening a partnership that has grown substantially over the past decade. The sixth order from Torrent takes the companies' combined portfolio to more than 1.3 GW of installed capacity spanning Gujarat, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh.

Under the contract, Suzlon will supply 76 of its flagship S144 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 3.3 MW, along with grid integration services and long-term operation and maintenance support. The project underscores the deepening collaboration between the renewable energy developer and the turbine manufacturer.

Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, said the enduring relationship reflects the company's commitment to long-term partnerships. "Customer confidence continues to be our biggest strength," he noted, adding that the partnership has evolved into one of Suzlon's largest customer relationships.

The order comes as Suzlon accelerates its momentum in the Indian wind sector. The company has secured over 1.1 GW of new orders so far in the fiscal year 2026-27, signalling robust demand for renewable energy capacity additions in the country.
