Suzlon to Pump ₹10,000 Crore Into Andhra Pradesh Wind Energy
Renewable energy firm Suzlon Group has announced a major investment drive in Andhra Pradesh, planning to develop over 1,300 MW of new wind capacity and create thousands of jobs across the state.

Suzlon Group is set to invest ₹10,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh as it accelerates its renewable energy expansion, the company said on Monday. The initiative will focus on developing 1,325 MW of new wind projects in the Rayadurg constituency of Anantapur district, leveraging the region's strong wind resources.
State IT Minister Nara Lokesh is scheduled to inaugurate Suzlon's new S144 wind blade manufacturing facility at Huliker village in Kanekallu mandal on Tuesday, marking a significant milestone in the company's operations. The facility represents the company's commitment to establishing a full manufacturing ecosystem in the state.
The expansion is expected to generate approximately 4,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, contributing to local economic development. Suzlon has set an ambitious target of adding 5 GW of renewable energy capacity across Andhra Pradesh by 2030, underscoring its strategic focus on the state as a key growth market.
Suzlon already operates over 1,700 MW of installed wind energy capacity in Andhra Pradesh following its entry into the state in 2004. The company has developed a substantial manufacturing and project execution presence in Anantapur district, with rotor blade facilities at Ippuru in Kuderu mandal supporting its operations across South India.
