Swami Prasad Maurya Attacks Akhilesh Yadav Over INDIA Alliance Inclusion

Swami Prasad Maurya intensified his attack on Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday, expressing frustration over his inclusion in the INDIA coalition. Speaking to media, Maurya drew a pointed comparison to suggest that if Yadav could overlook senior party leader Mohammad Azam Khan, his own position within the alliance would be equally precarious.

"If Akhilesh Yadav did not stand by Azam Khan, how can I expect any guarantee regarding my position?" Maurya said, according to reports. The remark appeared to reference tensions within the Samajwadi Party hierarchy and broader questions about coalition dynamics.

Maurya characterised the Samajwadi Party chief as the "number one enemy" of the INDIA alliance, signalling deep discord within the opposition grouping ahead of upcoming electoral contests. He claimed to have held separate discussions with Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi over alliance arrangements and his own role within the coalition.

The public confrontation highlights growing strains within the INDIA bloc, which was formed to present a united opposition front against the BJP. Such internal disagreements threaten to undermine the coalition's cohesion in crucial electoral battles across northern India.
