Switch Mobility bags 840 e-bus order for Delhi under PM E-Drive scheme

Switch Mobility said on Monday it has won an order to supply 840 electric buses to Antony Road Transport Solutions under the Centre's PM Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement (PM E-Drive) initiative. The contract will see deployment of buses across Delhi's transport infrastructure during the scheme's first phase.
The order comprises 420 nine-metre and 420 twelve-metre air-conditioned electric buses, which will be operated by the Delhi Transport Corporation and the Transport Department, Delhi. The buses are designed to integrate seamlessly with the city's existing public transport network while reducing vehicular emissions.
Switch Mobility and Antony Road Transport Solutions have formalised deployment agreements in what the company describes as a critical milestone for electrifying Delhi's public transportation system. The partnership underscores growing industry confidence in electric bus technology and the government's commitment to sustainable urban mobility through the PM E-Drive scheme.
