Syngene Banking on Order Book, Zoetis Supplies for H2 Recovery

Syngene International, a subsidiary of Biocon, has signalled improved momentum in the latter half of FY27 as it leverages a healthy pipeline of orders and ongoing supplies to global animal health company Zoetis to offset headwinds in the current period.
The Bengaluru-based contract research and manufacturing organisation said the momentum is expected to build from the second half onwards, driven by both existing commitments and new business inflows. The company, which serves pharmaceutical, biotechnology and animal health clients globally, anticipates the stronger performance will help sustain its business trajectory through the fiscal year.
Despite the near-term challenges, Syngene has retained its full-year outlook, maintaining guidance for a single-digit percentage revenue decline for FY27. The company's strategy reflects a cautious but optimistic view of the market, with management confident that backend momentum will provide sufficient impetus to navigate near-term pressures.
The Zoetis partnership represents a significant contract for the contract development and manufacturing organisation, underscoring its capabilities in serving the animal health segment alongside its core pharmaceutical business. With substantial order visibility, Syngene appears positioned to capitalise on market demand as the fiscal year progresses.
